When I was in high school at the age of 17 --

But what I recognized is that the first try wasn't enough.

And my question became: How do I move forward?

What do I do next?

You see. I began my race for governor

by analyzing who I was and what I wanted to be.

And there are three questions I ask myself about everything I do.

I became the first black woman to ever become the nominee for governor

But more importantly. in this process.

The first is finances.

And finances are something that holds us back so often.

The second is fear.

But we also learn in those moments
